Introduction to EPID600


Instructions:
  1. Read: Ashengrau and Seage, ch. 1 - The Approach and Evolution of Epidemiology (the 1st edition chapter is available online).

  2. Read the lecture slides and attend the lecture (if you cannot attend the lecture, the slides have verbatim speaker notes; there are also recorded audio tutorials, but these are not as up-to-date as the speaker notes).

  3. Additional items:
    1. Read about the case studies, rules for collaboration, and the Honor Code


  4. Read The Age of AIDS (video), Parts 1 and 2.

  5. Answer (all of) the case study questions. Write succinct answers that include a brief explanation or statement of support.

  6. Submit the answers to the starred case study questions (numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 - see the class schedule for due date).
