Instructions:
  1. Read: Aschengrau and Seage, ch. 8 - Cohort Studies

  2. Read the lecture slides and speaker notes or listen to the recorded lecture (links are in Blackboard).

  3. Read Janice E. Williams, F. Javier Nieto, Catherine P. Stanford and Herman A. Tyroler. Effects of an angry temperament on coronary heart disease risk: The Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities Study, Am J Epidemiol 2001; 154(3):230-235. (abstract, full text)

  4. Answer (all of) the case study questions. Write succinct answers that include a brief explanation or statement of support.

  5. (Optional, but earns credit) Submit the answers to the starred case study questions (numbers 3, 10, 11, 12, and 13 - see the class schedule for due date).

  6. Discuss the answers to (all of) the case study questions with your small group.

  7. Agree on the answers (including the brief explanation or statement of support), so the facilitator can submit the group’s consensus answers (for all questions) by the date indicated in the class schedule.
