Instructions:
- Read:
Aschengrau and Seage, ch. 4 - Sources of Public Health Data; ch. 5 - Descriptive Epidemiology
- Read the lecture slides and attend the lecture (if you cannot attend the lecture, the slides have verbatim speaker notes; there are also recorded audio tutorials, but these are not as up-to-date as the speaker notes).
- Read Joseph A. McFalls Jr. Population: A Lively
Introduction, 4th ed. Population Bulletin December 2003;58(4).

- Answer (all of) the case study questions. Write succinct answers that include a brief explanation or statement of support.

Submit the answers to the starred case study questions (numbers 1, 2, 6, 9, 11 and 13 - see the class schedule for due date).
- Discuss the answers to (all of) the case study questions with your small group.
- Agree on the answers (including the brief explanation or statement of support), so the facilitator can submit the group’s consensus answers (for all questions) by the date indicated in the class schedule.
